Suzanna Aguayo was born in Houston, Texas, the ninth of ten children.  She grew up in Los Angeles where she studied theater and acted in plays, TV, and commercials. She attended the California College of Art where she studied fine art, and holds a degree in art practice with a minor in education from the University of California, at Berkeley. While at UC Berkeley, Suzanna helped develop and teach art programs for K-8 students in Oakland public schools,  and also taught art through the Museum of Children’s Art, Artists in Schools program.

Suzanna has primarily worked behind the scenes at Filmsight Productions since its inception.  She has worn many hats at Filmsight; financial accountant, public relations, marketing strategy and outreach, and co-producer. Suzanna co-produced Morgan Schmidt-Feng’s 2016 documentary film, ON HER OWN, the story of a family who struggles to hang onto their fifth generation farm in Bodega, California. She currently volunteers as a programmer,  viewing and scoring submissions under consideration for the Slamdance Film Festival.
